Felt the baby move!

15 weeks 5 days.

I was sitting in the living room feeling miserable after too much Arbys, watching TV, and telling Ady how to spell some words when I felt the must wonderful little flutter!!
I ran into the office to tell Ian and was like umm ok. Well :P on you then! So I called mom and told her about it!

Doctor's Appointment (15 w 3d)

I had my second doctors appointment today. Everything is looking good. I've gained 6 pounds so far. My blood pressure was 98/50 (I think that's right). Luckily, my doctor's next appointment didn't show up so she had time to do a quick u/s on me. I love seeing the little munchkin moving around in there. I got to hear his/her heartbeat for the first time and that was a relief. For some reason, I'd been really paranoid that something was wrong over the last couple of weeks. But all is well!!
She tried to see if we are having a boy or a girl but baby wasn't ready to let us know yet. That was fine with me because I'd really like Ian to there this time when I find out. So the big ultrasound is set for Jan. 23!!

15 weeks

I found this amusing, I came across it on another gals blog
Madame Zaritska's prediction for me:

After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 21 inches long. This child will have light brown eyes and some blond hair.

That could be very possible. I was only in labor with Ady for 10 hours and she weighed 7 lbs 6 oz. Ian has brown eyes and I have blond hair. We shall see!!

I hope everyone had a good Christmas. Ours was good but I missed being with my family :( My parents sent Ady a bunch of Fancy Nancy stuff including a dress for her to dress up in. She hasn't taken it off!!

She got up Christmas morning and told Ian and I that someone had put a Fancy Nancy dress on her stroller. We asked her who left it there and she said, " I don't know". After thinking about it for a minute she said Fancy Nancy must have left it for her! lol

In other news, I decided to cut my hair this week. I cut about 4 1/2 inches off the back. I like it so far but I'm not sure how I'll like if after I start school again in Jan. I won't be able to just blow dry and go. I have to blow dry and then straighten it.

Baking Fool!!

14 Weeks

I have become a baking fool since classes finished. Today I baked vanilla almond cookies that were meant to look like crescents but they flattened out and don't look right. But they still taste good. And I've made mint chip cookies. They turned out great!
Before classes ended I made pistachio fudge! That was ridiculously good!

Nothing much new to report baby wise. My next appointment is next Monday and I'm ready for it just so I can finally hear the heartbeat!

Guitar Hero ~ Week 13

I have never played Guitar Hero or had an interest in playing it. Then Aerosmith put out a Guitar Hero. I was intrigued. My friend Jen and her husband Mike bought it on Black Friday. When we invited them over for dinner last night, I told Mike that he needed to bring guitar hero or no dinner for him! ;) It was really weird at first but then once I got the groove of it, I loved it! I especially liked playing Joan Jett's song "I hate myself for loving you". Now I want it. *sigh* Ian is out right now probably buying Christmas gifts, but I'm 99.9% sure I'm getting a movie.

Well in other news, this is week 13. My first week of the second trimester. Big things to look forward to in the next three months. I'll start to feel the baby move and then Ady and Ian will be able to feel the baby move and in Jan. we will be able to find out if we have Sophia or Owen on the way!

13 Weeks

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

School sucks!

My semester finishes up next week. Thank goodness! I'm at my wits end with one class. My Access/Peachtree class. Peachtree was a breeze. Access can suck my big toe! It takes nearly 2 hours for each assignment and I have 4 more due by Thursday the 18th.
Today, our lovely instructor dropped a 4 page paper on us. The subject? Tax. That has nothing to do with my class!!! Grrrrr...
Also, I'm trying to work out my schedule for next semester, and my final semester God willing. I need to take in Income Tax class. I was all signed up for it last semester and it was canceled two days before classes started. We had the choice to do it independent study but I dropped the ball and didn't get it done on time. I can't do independent study for Spring semester. Boo. So I am having to look at taking it from another school or getting my school to sign off on a replacement course. I've been emailing folks like crazy trying to get answers and I'm not getting any!

Vent over....

12 weeks

I'm 12 weeks now:) Yay for almost being done with the first trimester. The bloat has left me alone for the last couple of days. I hope that keeps up b/c it really sucks!

I'm looking forward to Christmas shopping b/c Ian is going to buy me some much needed maternity jeans! yay for comfort!

In other news, we are looking at getting 12 inches of snow between this afternoon and tomorrow evening..blech. So I was really happy when I came to work tonight and was told that my shifts later in the week have been cancelled! I'm also looking forward to time off since my library closes down for Christmas break! yipee!! Then Ian called me and when I asked him whats up and he replied with I just called to say I love you , so I love you. I was shocked and so so happy. (For those of you that know Ian, you know that THIS JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN!!)

Lets see..what else..oh Ady told me yesterday that she is really excited for our baby to get here. :) Today she was playing 'Lion', where she basically pretends to be a lion. She told me that she was going to eat me! I told her that if she ate me, there wouldn't be a baby anymore. So she said ok, I'll eat daddy! Ian suggested that she eat the sock he was holding. She told him 'no, daddy, Lions don't like socks. If I ate a sock I'd die!" :)

11 weeks

I'm 11 weeks pregnant now. I'm pretty much uncomfortable all the time now too. This fact alone leads me to think that this little munchkin is in fact a boy. I don't remember being this uncomfortable so early on with Adyson. I was perfectly happy being pregnant right up to my last week of it!

The uncomfortable bloating and desire to wear 'pajama' like pants all the time are my only real complaints. No morning sickness, not terribly tired, my chest isn't nearly as sore as it was with Ady.

So yeah..once the bloat goes away and it turns into an actual baby bump, I hope I feel more comfortable and maybe my maternity clothes will fit because I am so ready to be in comfy clothes all the time!!

Oh and another thing, at the end of January when we can find out if this babe is indeed a boy or a girl, you will be able to knock me over with a feather if it's a girl. Ady will be very disappointed if it's a boy, but I think he would grow on her. She tells me all the time that she is going to share her blanket and toys with her baby sister, 'phia. When I ask her what she will do if she has a brother, she just corrects me and lets me know she is going to have a baby sister.....

Here are some belly shots from BFP until 11 weeks.

5 weeks:

7 weeks: Look at that bloat!
10 weeks. Again, look at that bloat!

First Dr Appt

November 21, 2008
I had my first doctor's appointment today. I started with the nurse work up, which was basically my medical history. After that it was off for blood work. Yay. I nearly passed out while they did that. I've never been a fan of having blood drawn but that was a first. After some juice and laying down I went back upstairs to meet my Doctor.
Ian met up with me and we headed to the Doctor. She started off with a quick ultrasound! I was so excited to see the little munchkin. We could see the tiny little heart beating and she printed off pictures. I'm measuring at exactly 10 weeks and the babe is measuring 3 cm long. So my due date is officially June 19!
My doctor was really nice and quite funny. She's from Canada and snorts when she laughs! It's hilarious!!
So thats all for now. Next appt is the Dec 29

Back log

After two cycles of trying and one cycle of charting, I found out I was pregnant on October 9, 2008! Our newest addition is due on June 19, 2009.

The day I found out:
